This device is used when a patient’s bite needs to be adjusted. (see Neuromuscular Dentistry). It relaxes the muscle controlling the jaw through mild electrical simulation. Adhesive patch electrodes are attached over nerves that control specific facial muscle groups. When the machine is activated and in place it will cause your facial and jaw muscle to twist or pulse every one and one half seconds. This procedure is virtually painless.
