Tooth whitening is a bleaching process that reverses discolorations of enamel (the outside layer of tooth structure) to create a whiter, brighter appearance. No natural tooth structure is lost during this process. At Dental Associates of Delaware we offer two convenient tooth whitening options.

The at home whitening option are custom fitted tooth whitening trays. Once the trays have been molded and created to fit your smile you will be able to take them home to get started. A tooth-whitening solution is placed inside the trays before you place them over your teeth. The trays are worn for a period of days or weeks depending upon what is prescribed for your individual situation. Often, nighttime application alone will achieve the results you desire.  

Our other whitening option is Britesmile®, Professional Teeth Whitening System. BriteSmile® is our fastest whitening system and works by using a breakthrough new “blue light” technology and a gentle whitening gel to safely whiten your teeth to their ultimate natural whiteness. The blue light activates the whitening gel to make it work better and faster than ever before. Results are accomplished in one office visit with three gel applications done at 20 minute intervals for a dazzling smile in just over an hour.
