Dental Associates of Delaware began as Dental Associates of Brandywood in 1977.  The four original doctors Dr. Kert Anzilotti, Dr. William Friz, Dr. Howard Giles, Jr., and Dr. Norman Rocheleau, Jr. joined together to form a group practice dedicated to improving and providing the best quality patient care possible.  

In 1986, Dental Associates of Brandywood acquired the practice of a retiring dentist and his associate, Dr. Mark Fortunato, on North Rodney Street in Wilmington.  Dental Associates of Brandywood expanded its team in the North Wilmington/Greenville area, and began to develop a wider geographic presence.  In 1987, Dr. Greg Hansen's Main Street practice in Middletown, Delaware joined the organization.  The office quickly grew and it was soon necessary to find a new location.  Dental Associates of Middletown was built at 106 St. Anne's Church Road.

To better reflect the geographic locations of Dental Associates of Brandywood and Middletown and to convey the connection of these offices, the organization's new name became Dental Associates of Delaware in 1997.

Dental Associates of Delaware acquired another retiring dentist’s practice in 2006 and again expanded its team, this time in Hockessin, DE.  In July 2007, Dental Associates of Delaware-Hockessin Office was built at 500 Lantana Drive in Lantana Square.
